Minimalist: Vitamin C Serum

Updated: Jul 17, 2023

Tried & Tested

So, the wait is over. :)

I have been using Vitamin C serums for very long, and i tend to try a new product every time. This time i bought Minimalist Vitamin C serum, let's go through the review.

#1: First Impression

When i first decided to buy Minimalist Vitamin C serum, i only had in my mind that it is some fancy product with the same effect other products had on my skin. It was little heavy on my pocket as i used to buy serums not more than Rs. 500/. I bought it just to give it a try.

#2: How i used it

Serums come at second place in CTM process.

  1. I cleanse my face with a face wash, pat it dry with a towel.

  2. Apply some toner, pat on your face to get it absorbed completely.

  3. Now, take 3 - 4 drops of serum, again pat on your face. This serum has a good consistency and spread on your face smoothly.

  4. apply a moisturiser of your choice.

  5. Apply a sunscreen. Some of us ignore the 5 step and do not use Sunscreen and believe there is no use of applying sunscreen as we are not stepping out. Always wear the sunscreen.

#3: Pros and Cons

First we will discuss about the pros,

  1. Ethyl Ascorbic acid is known for it's excellent antioxident activity. It enhances collagen and retains the lost vitamin C in the skin. It improves the complexion and been a week of using it and my skin feels supple and moisturised, when i wake up the next morning.

  2. As the product promises, 'for brighter and illuminting glow', i'm seeing the difference between the skin i had when i was using other products and the skin i have now. it's definitely better.

  3. It's Silicon and Paraben free. The most basic thing i check when i go to try a new product.

  4. Can be used with morning and night time routine both.

Now, we come to cons (which i did not find many)

  1. it's little expensive. As i have mentioned earlier also, i used to buy serums not more than Rs. 500/.

  2. it gives little sensation on skin while applying, if you have a sensitive skin, go for a patch testing first.

#4: The Final Score

I have been using vitamin C serums for very long and have tried lot's of brands ( basically every time i go for a new brand :D), but it seems like i will stop my pursuit for a perfect serum now.

I would love to give 5 out 5 stars, to this wonderful innovation. it's little heavy on your pocket , keeping the other skin care products in mind, but it's worth it.
