Being a working mom is a fulfilling role that comes with its own set of challenges. Balancing professional responsibilities with the demands of raising children requires careful planning, adaptability, and support. Working moms often experience guilt for not being able to devote as much time to their children as they would like and raising kid right, trust me...it's exhausting.
I have and eight months old and i've found few amazing products that helped me feeding my baby right, giving her a safe environment and also i can keep my eyes on her while working.
Baby Cot
Baby cots, also known as cribs or baby bed offered numerous benefits for my baby, but i'm listing only few that helped me while i'm working on my laptop.
1. Safety
Baby cots are designed with safety features to provide a secure sleeping environment for infants, prevents the baby from falling out and getting trapped and i can work without worry while my baby is sound asleep.
I do have a dog who rigorously tries to find ways to lick ( Shower love :D ) her, so cot prevents that in many ways.
2. Safe Playarea
She plays inside her cot while i attend the calls or work on my laptop, which encourages the communication and again i can keep an eye on her.
you can also go for bed rails, if not cot but i have always been skeptical of it's durability and strength.
High Chair
We all are aware that high chairs offer several benefits for babies and parents during mealtime and beyond ( i'll cover other benefits of using high chair to develop good eating habits in babies above 6 months of age). I was in dilemma at first about whether i should buy a high chair or not but it helped in may ways to develop the habit of eating food on time, no force feeding , makes my baby understand .... "okay, now it's meal time!". It encourages dining table habit, allowing no phone.
Fruit Nibbler
Fruit Nibbler for babies, in a broad way takes advantage of
putting everything in mouth :D.
Introducing fruits to babies in early stage contributes to diverse and nutritious diet. Fruit nibbler helped keeping my baby busy while eating nutritious food.
Using a fruit feeder encourages babies to practice self-feeding and and develop their hand-eye co-ordination.
Babies often find sucking soothing, and a fruit feeder can provide a comforting experience while introducing them to new tastes.
A Play Fence
A play fence is an enclosed and safe space designed for children to play and explore. Here are some of the benefits of using a play fence for my Baby:
1. Safety and Security : Play fences provide a safe and enclosed environment for my baby to play without the risk of wandering into potentially hazardous areas of the house.
2. Supervised Playtime: I can easily supervise my baby while she plays in the play fence, ensuring her safety and well-being.
3. Independent Play: Play fences allows my baby to have some independent playtime, fostering her imagination and creativity within a designated space.
4. Cognitive Development: Within the play fence, my baby can interact with toys, puzzles, and other age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive development.
5. Physical Development: My baby can move around freely within the playpen, encouraging physical activity and motor skill development.
6. Containment during Busy Times: Play fences can be particularly useful in situations when parents need to attend to other tasks or when the home environment is busy.
Remember that while play fences offer numerous benefits, they should not be used as a substitute for direct interaction and playtime with parents or caregivers. It's essential to strike a balance between supervised play in the playpen and engaging with the child outside of it. Additionally, ensure that the play fence is set up safely and age-appropriate toys and activities are available for the child's enjoyment.
